Nutkin Privacy Policy

Effective date: 23 July 2026 Operator: Koryoku Labs LLC ("we", "us") Contact: support@nutkinapp.com

Nutkin is a to-do app with a gentle idle game attached. This policy describes what information the app handles, and — mostly — what it deliberately does not.

The short version

Data stored on your device only

Everything you create in Nutkin — task titles and steps, tags, your pet's name and appearance, streaks, acorn balances, buildings, achievements, journal-style history — is stored locally on your device. If you delete the app, this data is deleted with it.

Your account and what is backed up

So your colony is not lost with your phone, the app creates an anonymous account the first time it runs. This account is a random identifier — creating it requires no email, no phone number, and no information about you.

What we store: a snapshot of your game state — acorn balance, buildings owned, achievements earned, and similar progress figures — with our infrastructure provider (Supabase, servers in the United States), solely to restore your colony.

What we never store: the contents of your to-do list. Task titles, steps, notes and tags stay on your device and are not part of the backup.

Linking an account (optional). You may link Sign in with Apple or Google so your colony can be restored on a new device. If you do, we receive the email address that provider gives us — with Sign in with Apple you may choose Apple's private relay address, in which case we never see your real one. We use it only to identify your account.

Deleting it. Settings → Delete account & data removes your account and everything stored on our servers. Your local data stays on your phone until you delete the app.

Anonymous analytics (PostHog)

To understand which features help people (for example: how many users finish onboarding, or whether daily streaks are used), the app sends event names and counts — such as "task_completed" or "den_bought" — to PostHog, an analytics service.

Crash reports (Sentry)

If the app crashes or malfunctions, a crash report is sent to Sentry, an error-monitoring service. A report contains technical information: the error and stack trace, app version, device model, operating system version, and the sequence of screens/actions leading up to the crash. Crash reports are configured to exclude personally identifying information and never include your task content.

Purchases

If you subscribe to Nutkin Plus (when available), payment is processed entirely by Apple. We never see or store your payment details. Subscription entitlement is verified via App Store receipts.

Notifications

Reminders and streak notifications are scheduled locally on your device. We do not operate a push-notification server in this version.

Children

Nutkin is a general-audience productivity app and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
